How many Web pages are there? According to SearchEngineWatch.com, Google has the largest number of indexed documents at 3 billion files. Two billion of these are estimated to be standard Web pages, while the remaining billion are images, Usenet postings and other types of documents, such as Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office files.
And how many Websites are there? That number, too, is difficult to determine and ever-changing. One indication would be the number of domain names (such as m45.biz). In November of 2002, the State of the Domain reported 1,479,014 unique domain names.

Research Case Study
