PREPARE TO LAUNCH

It's time to load up that fall backpack. While the Internet may not have improved the quality of writing or reading, there are some great free resources at your fingertips when you're trying to polish your prose.

This month we recommend the following sites for preparing your communications for a broader audience:

Language Dictionaries & Translators
UK vs. US English (excuse the slang)

THE SPOTLIGHT

TRADE SHOWS

Participating in tradeshows can generate a lot of high quality leads...especially if you do it right! M45 can take you through all aspects of being in a tradeshow, from helping to choose the right shows for your target audience to preparing a booth and graphics.

There are also many ways to make a tradeshow's return on investment even higher. M45 can create a press schedule to get show coverage. We can plan and implement pre-show mailings to get the right people to your booth. We can work with you to determine the best way to follow up on leads.

STELLAR STATS

Recent surveys indicate that the number of non-English speakers using the Internet has begun to surpass the number of English speakers. And according to Forrester Research, by next year sales outside of the U.S. will account for half of all online transactions.

DESTINATION: M45
Cubicle Games
This year Mass Mutual—next year, the Olympics?

Last month, we received a wonderful email from Frances Emerson, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at MassMutual in Springfield, MA, regarding our Cubicle Games column in the August issue of Momentum:

"Just so you know, we do a huge drive for United Way at our company, replete with many splendid events. This year, the corporate communications department—thanks to you—will be conducting an office chair derby. I am attaching the grid and ground rules. Team members will solicit family and friends for donations as "sponsors" of the various teams. All funds will go to the United Way. Thanks for the idea."

A big, shiny M45 star goes to Frances and the creative folks in the corporate communications department at MassMutual for finding ways to have fun and raise funds!

STAR LITE -- Twice as creative and at least a third less serious than your average newsletter copy

M45 presents the Excus-o-Meter. Everyone is trying to do more work with fewer resources, so we created the Excus-o-Meter for those times when you just can’t get things done yesterday.
