Tricia (Cratty) Sweeney
Professional Background
Tricia has worked in marketing and communications for
more than 20 years in the Rockford, Illinois area. She
has client experience in a broad array of business
sectors, particularly financial, healthcare, industrial,
and municipal arenas.

Projects
Responsible for meeting with clients to discuss
objectives, targets, budgets, and timelines for a wide
variety of projects…everything from concept development
and writing to production and coordination. Serve as
public relations consultant/coordinator on clients’
behalf, write and distribute press releases to local and
national media, track pipeline and clippings, as well as
write talking points. Specific projects range from ads,
brochures, and television commercials to newsletters,
press releases, and annual reports.
Likes
Tricia enjoys art and travel. In her spare time, she can
often be found visiting art galleries and museums, as
well as attending a variety of plays and musical events.
In her travels, Tricia often chooses destinations with
an abundant arts community or a location with great
hiking trails. She has hiked nearly all of the moderate
to easy trails in Rocky Mountain National Park!
Dislikes
Double doors that have only one of the doors unlocked.
Education
Tricia earned an Associate’s Degree and was awarded a
writer’s award from Rock Valley College. She completed
her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of
Illinois Champaign-Urbana. In addition, Tricia spent a
fun year in the U. of I. study abroad program at
Stirling University in Scotland.
